Wiring the two LED lights together


Just a small assembly note... I looked at the datasheet for the LED light modules, and noticed these units have extra pads so that they can be soldered together.


You can use these pads to wire one of the modules to the other, if you prefer, so that you have only one pair of wires to attach to the cape from the camera unit.


Ahhh! That's a great idea! Are they still just as bright? I'll have to try this on my next build. This is why open source rocks!



Thank you for the reply. The brightness should be the same, because electrically it is a parallel connection that is equivalent to connecting the two pairs of wires to each other. (Except for the resistance of the copper traces which is small enough that you can ignore.)
