Has anyone done any work with waterproofing or protecting the electronics components in case of electronics tube flooding? If so, what has been done? Did it work?
Yes, but it broke the electronics. Take it from me DO NOT attempt to use GE Silicone II as recommended in many other electronics forums. After coating my main controller board with this stuff something went wonky in the main power distribution. I assume some component took up the silicone and it adversely affected its performance.
I thought about potting our board, but the problem with sealing it fully is lack of cooling because you're be electronically and thermally insulating the board.
I got some super strong dessicant (in trials) that they use to keep electronics dry on boats. I'll make a post once I see if it can absorb small leaks.
