Underwater Intervention conference

#1

Is anybody going to this:

http://www.underwaterintervention.com/

I have a good friend who works on the WHOI ship R/V Atlantis (which hosts the Alvin submarine) and said that this is kind of the go-to conference for ROVs.

It seems like it would be interesting/good to have an OpenROV presence there. I am 75% likely to go, at this point...

I was...now I'm not. I've been aiming on publishing to this one and AUVSI, but alas, as an Independent researcher, the cost gets pretty high, lol.

I am going to promote Alpena Community College's ROV - Marine Technology program. Last year was the first year that I went and I am impressed with the number of ROV companies and contractor that are represented at UI. For ROV's and the use of them in industry, I consider this the main conference. The MATE Center and MTS also have a large presence and promote the use of ROVs in education.

This is the place to network with the ROV industry.
