[solved] Debugging the arduino code / Serial.print

solved

Hello,

I just added IMU board and it is not working properly.

I'd like to get some debug information from the arduino code to isolate the problem.

Inspecting the code I found that there is a "serial.print" function which is used to create some debug logging.

Is it possible to route this output to the beagle bone somehow?

If yes, how can I inspect it?

best regards

and thanks for any help

Ok,

just figured it out myself. It's easier than I thought.

The serial port of the Arduino is connected to UART1 of the BBB (P9, Pins 24 and 26).

UART1 is mapped into the linux device space as /dev/ttyO1.

So all you have to do is log in via SSH and type "cat /dev/ttyO1".

Best regards

Gerhard
