OpenROV goes to Node.js Conference in Italy

I'm happy to announce that the session I proposed for the Node.js Conference Italy has been accepted, so OpenROV will make it's first appearance on a developer conference

The title and the abstract of the talk are:

OpenROV: Node.js Underwater

OpenROV is a OpenSource underwater vehicle, remotely operated from a standard browser via a Node.js application running on an embedded linux board (the BeagleBone) and connected to a webcam and an Arduino. In this session I'm going to tell you some insights on how the ROV is put together, mainly focusing on the software component, and if we find a pool (or a big enough fountain) I might do a real dive in.

There are still places available so if you live in Europe and want to come and listen to me explaining how the Node.js part of OpenROV works, you can still register to the event (it's on the 10 of November in Brescia, a city at around 100km from Milano). It's just 20€ and there are also a lot of other interesting talks on Node.js.

I think there will some video recordings of the event, but if you are living near, you should definitely come.

Awesome! I wish I could go!

There might be some recordings of the event... at least that's what I was told
