Open Positions at OpenROV

We're looking to fill a few positions here at OpenROV. All positions are based at the OpenROV HQ in Berkeley, CA.

Production Manager

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage ordering and inventory of parts and materials.
  • Oversee production and assembly of OpenROV kits and fully-assembled OpenROVs.
  • Manage shipping and order fulfillment.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering (MS, EE) or Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years experience.
  • Experience in light manufacturing and supply chain management.
  • Experience with digital fabrication tools: CAD, CAM, CNC, Laser Cutting, 3D Printing
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, start-up environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with underwater robotics and OpenROV is a plus

Design Engineering Intern

Responsibilities Include:

  • Contribute to the R&D activities at OpenROV HQ
  • Contribute to the production and assembly of OpenROV kits and fully-assembled OpenROVs.
  • Assist with documentation and presentation
  • Can be full or part-time

Qualifications:

  • BS (or currently pursuing) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design or equivalent.
  • Experience with digital design and fabrication tools: CAD, CAM, CNC, Laser Cutting, 3D Printing
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, start-up environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with underwater robotics and OpenROV is a plus.

Community Management Intern

Responsibilities Include:

  • Editing and distributing stories about OpenROV users and expeditions
  • Event and activity planning
  • Social media and marketing
  • Customer service

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing) in Marketing, Communications or Journalism
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, start-up environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with OpenROV and the maker movement is a plus.
