Anyone playing with MOOS and/or ROS as the messaging framework for the ROV? Anyone want to?


I have a Proof of Concept for ROS in the works here: ROS Integration via roslibjs

For MOOS, I am still trying to find someone who has created a node.js module to communicate of TCP/IP with the moosdb. I suppose one could grab just the existing C++ CMOOSCommClient and wrap it in a node.js wrapper. The protocol is all text based so it should be simple to recreate in node directly if I can find the protocol and message definitions. Happy to help out if someone wants to take the lead.
