Direct H.264 stream to cockpit

A little while ago the raspberry pi foundation released the test applications that interface with the camera board, One of which outputs a h.264 stream into a file. How difficult would it be to get the node.js server to display this stream in real time in the cockpit? Supposedly the stream itself has ~100ms lag due to compression times, but they have a steady 720p/30FPS going already, with 720p@60FPS coming sometime soon.

If you use something like ffmpeg (perhaps ffserver) to send the video via a rtmp stream of the live video to the browser, the HTML5 browsers should display h.264 directly using the video tag.

Where would I put the video tags in the index.html file and how [if necessary] would the CSS need to be edited?
