is it possible to hook up two cameras to raspberry pi3 on ArduSub platform? One will be RPi3 compatibile ribbon cable 1080p camera and the second one will be any webcam on usb? Is RPi3 powerfull enough to handle two 1080p streams? Can QGroundControl software handle two video streams?
Hi @bogus105 - the camera runs alongside ArduSub and its communication using
gstreamer. It’s definitely possible to stream from two cameras simultaneously, particularly if the cameras have onboard H.264 compression so that the RPi processor doesn’t have to handle much. However, this is not fully supported yet, but in our near-term plans.
QGroundControl doesn’t currently support two camera streams but that functionality will be added in the near future.
