The SCINI ROV which was designed for use in Antarctica has been Open Sourced. All electrical & mechanical plans, and software source code are available online to download!
Weighing just 41 pounds, with a maximum depth capability of 1,000 feet (300 m), SCINI is a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) deployable by two people. She can be used as a fast and highly portable exploration vehicle to map novel habitats, or as a reliable workhorse for scientific research.
